Numbers make my world go around
Ever since I was a child, I’ve had a passion for numbers. While my school friends asked for toys, I’d nag my mother for Math’s workbooks – working through them being my idea of fun. Some called me a ‘geek’, but nothing has ever changed when it comes to my love of numbers – and I still find them fun – unlike most business owners who are filled with dread at the very thought of dealing with them.
As a BAS Agent and Business Advisor, I don’t just get the figures and the job done. By using the best cloud accounting software, I do it right first time using real-time, accurate financial data to help you make informed, strategic decisions for your business.
Best practice for better business
As a business owner too, I know how important it is to have people around you who can do the best possible job – methodically, timely and confidently; a safe pair of hands that you trust to manage a side of things you don’t like so much or maybe feel too confident about. I take your business success as personally as my own – because I know that’s how you get the best results.
I pride myself on keeping up-to-speed on the latest systems and software and ways of doing business better (I’m currently studying to become a CPA). So you not only have the benefit of my experience, but also direct access to real-world, practical knowledge of the latest cloud-based software. If you do want to know more about the internal workings, I’ll train you in best-practice ways of using it. If there’s one thing I like more than doing the numbers, it’s demonstrating to others how great software like Xero changes the way we all do business… for the better.
My career history…
I started my own business in 2011 and became a registered BAS Agent after working as an MYOB Consultant and Trainer for the AMC Training Centre’s Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) for two years. While raising my family, I prepared accounts from home for various businesses and a community group I was involved with. From 1994 to 2000, I worked as Accountant for construction company Manteena Pty Ltd after working for KPMG Peat Marwick. I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University in 1992.
